The environment of the "Aquatic Planet" reflected similar architecture and ideas as the 'old world' that were modified and reinvented to life under the sea. Buildings and interiors evolved into hyper-flexible spaces, with rooms able to change size and shape depending on the currents that moved them.
Subterranean structures, called "surfacescrapers," that were previously skyscrapers, were built deep into the ground for a more efficient way to build living spaces when construction had to be done underwater.
"Surfacescrapers" also reached unprecedented heights, and were able to host a whole town from deep below the surface. Often these living spaces were built to rise above the surface but were eventually submerged again as the sea level continued to rise.
