As society has progressed over the last 1,000 years, we have grown accustomed to specific behaviors and have wandered little from the social norm that surrounds them. Deforestation, Consumerism, Capitalism, Materialism, consumption, and exploitation, just to name just a few, are a few of these deep-seated human behaviors that will ultimately cause the destruction of the human race. Planet Earth is only responding to the environmental atrocities that humans have committed continuously throughout history, and particularly post-industrial revolution in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
